Overview

The Nuance Site License Program (SLP) is designed for large, small or medium sized organisations of any kind, that can benefit from the affordable deployment and no-cost administration of Nuance desktop solutions. It’s ideal for organisations which want to acquire the right to put Nuance software on every desktop within a defined Site. This eliminates the need to audit, count and track licensed seats for compliance.

The SLP is an alternative to the Nuance Volume Licence Program (VLP, also known as Diamond Licence Program) and gives the highest cost savings in most cases compared to VLP.

Requirements and Pricing

Pricing is determined by the total number of users at the Site at the time of purchase. A Site can be a legal entity, a unit of an organisation, a department or a physical address. Deployment is allowed to all users at the licensed Site. The organisation need to have at least 50 employees, students or users to enter the SLP.

The following table demonstrates the various SLP levels. The larger the Site the bigger discounts can be reached per user. The organisation has to pay a fix price corresponding to the selected Program Level.

Deployment Rights
  • Deployment is allowed for only those locations which are specifically listed in the licence certificate.
  • Individuals of the Site who work remotely from their office may use the software on their portable computer, home computer or as remote terminal server clients.
  • Teachers, students and educational staff of the Site may use the software on their portable or home computer or as remote terminal server clients.
Ordering process
  • Licences can be ordered through the preferred Nuance corporate reseller.
  • The corporate reseller will ship the CD media pack with the software.
  • Nuance immediately sends via email and by post a licence certificate to the licensee that includes the number of purchased seats and the list of the licensed Sites.
  • Licensee has to remit the cost of the ordered licences and a minimum fee for the CD media pack.
Simple installation

When purchasing SLP licences, the organisation receives a CD from the reseller, together with the documentation of the software. Nuance may grant access to downloadable version of the software. A unique serial number is provided with the software, which allows installation of the software on multiple workstations or the supported terminal server environments.

Site Licence Maintenance Program (SLMP)

With the optional SLMP, users can stay up to date with their Nuance software and always employ the latest released version. Organisations will automatically receive version upgrades and access to all point releases or patches of the licensed product released by Nuance while the SLMP is active. The maintenance can cover one, two or three years for 15% to 13% of the value of the SLP fee on an annual basis, depending on the duration of the purchased maintenance.
