New solutions help medical professionals to improve patient care and enhance productivity while reducing administration costs

(NASDAQ: NUAN), a leading provider of speech and imaging solutions, today announced that Dragon NaturallySpeaking® – the world’s best-selling desktop speech recognition software – has been integrated by Hands Free Computing Ltd into a dictation solution developed specifically for Misys Healthcare Systems Laboratory and Radiology Systems in the UK. By greatly increasing the productivity of pathologists and radiologists the Misys solutions will reduce patient report turnaround times thereby leading to improved patient care. At the same time, the solution enables cost-conscious pathology and radiology departments to lower administrative overheads and simplify reporting procedures.
The UK’s leading supplier of Dragon NaturallySpeaking – Hands Free Computing Ltd - joined forces with Misys, a market leader in healthcare IT, to developed pathology and radiology specific vocabularies for Dragon NaturallySpeaking providing pathologists and radiologists with a tailored dictation solution enabling them to produce and submit patient reports in a more timely and accurate manner.
