Prompted by a move to new premises in 2003, McGowan Associates decided to introduce a document management solution that would enable the company to operate a paperless office environment, negating the need for its 23 filing cabinets. To facilitate this change, McGowan Associates originally tested PaperPort 8 on a singe PC but moved quickly on to a networked version of PaperPort 9 Office, which enabled the company to electronically manage and source the scanned contents of its former filing cabinets. McGowan Associates recently upgraded to PaperPort 11 as its powerful performance enables graphic-rich documents to be scanned in accurately.
