Prompted by a move to new premises in 2003, McGowan Associates decided to introduce a document management solution that would enable the company to operate a paperless office environment, negating the need for its 23 filing cabinets. To facilitate this change, McGowan Associates originally tested PaperPort 8 on a singe PC but moved quickly on to a networked version of PaperPort 9 Office, which enabled the company to electronically manage and source the scanned contents of its former filing cabinets. McGowan Associates recently upgraded to PaperPort 11 as its powerful performance enables graphic-rich documents to be scanned in accurately. Today, every relevant paper document the company receives is captured electronically using any one of the company’s six scanner devices, and managed using PaperPort.
