(NASDAQ: NUAN) today announced that it is extending availability of its popular Dragon Dictation and Dragon Search applications to the UK Apple App Store. Built on the renowned Dragon NaturallySpeaking platform, the iOS4-compatible Dragon Apps enable UK Apple users to quickly and easily speak any text – whether it’s for a status update on Facebook or Twitter, to send text and email messages, quickly look up a recipe or the latest YouTube video, and everything in between. Both Dragon Dictation and Dragon Search are immediately available on the UK Apple App Store free for a limited time.

Dragon Dictation for iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad gives people the ability to easily dictate content for emails, text messages and social media updates, more than five times faster than typing. Announced as part of Dragon Dictation 2.0, UK users now have access to the latest version, that is iOS-4 compatible and features a pop-up toolbar with app icons for quickly accessing and speaking content directly into email and text message apps, Facebook or Twitter status bars, or the clipboard. Dragon Dictation also includes a convenient Auto Save function that automatically saves your dictated text when interrupted by an incoming phone call.

Additionally, Dragon Dictation now features multi-lingual capabilities as additional language support will be added throughout 2010, starting with German in late July 2010. With this new feature, all Dragon Dictation users are able to easily switch between supported languages as they become available.

Dragon Search for iPhone and iPod Touch lets users simply speak any search query to find any content on the mobile Web. Nuance’s innovative Dragon Search Carousel delivers fast, smarter search results within seconds across multiple channels all at once, including Google or Yahoo!, and Wikipedia, iTunes, YouTube and Twitter.
